Service interruption via unreleased SQLite handles
Published Sep 8, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Resource exhaustion in Samsung TizenRT through 3.0_GBM and 3.1_PRE allows remote attackers to interrupt service through createDB calls. The createDB function calls sqlite3_open_v2 but omits sqlite3_close, leaving each returned database connection handle and its resources unreleased. Network reachability is sufficient and authentication is not required; resource exhaustion affects availability without reported data access or modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
