Contributor-level script execution via unsanitized testimonial parameters
Published Sep 23, 2022 · Updated Apr 28, 2026
Stored XSS in GS Plugins Solid Testimonials 1.9.6 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts into testimonial pages. The plugin stores values from several testimonial parameters without sufficient input sanitization or output escaping, causing embedded scripts to run when affected pages are viewed. Contributor-level access and a subsequent page view are required, and the CNA assessment limits the impact to content integrity.
