Root access via exposed TCF service
Published Oct 13, 2022 · Updated May 15, 2025
Incorrect default permissions in Foresight GC3 Launch Monitor 1.3.15.68 allow attackers to gain root access through the TCF service. The firmware enables Target Communication Framework on a TCP port bound to every interface, exposing process debugging, file-system modification, and a root terminal. Access requires joining the device's hosted wireless access point with its published default passphrase; successful access permits device modification and intellectual-property theft.
