CVE-2022-40179Network attack vector

Arbitrary Axon query execution via missing CSRF checks

Published Oct 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Cross-site request forgery in Siemens Desigo PXM and PXG3 devices allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary Axon queries. Operation web application endpoints execute attacker-supplied Axon queries without validating an anti-CSRF token or the request origin. Exploitation requires a logged-in user to open a malicious link or page, and the resulting queries run with that user's device permissions.
