Use-after-free in Linux Kernel vmwgfx before 5.13.0-52 allows local users to gain privileges via crafted ioctl requests on /dev/dri/renderD128. The vmw_execbuf_tie_context function dereferences a context after it has been freed while processing vmwgfx execution-buffer commands, creating a use-after-free condition. Access requires a local account permitted to open the DRM render device; exploitation can crash the kernel for denial of service and the record reports privilege gain, with no confidentiality impact specified.
