Stored XSS in Image Hover Effects before 5.5 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through crafted plugin settings. The settings handler stores fields such as Category Name, Caption Description, and Caption Heading without sanitization or output escaping. Administrator privileges are required, and the payload runs when the settings page is revisited or the affected caption is rendered by shortcode.
