Browser script execution via unescaped page parameter
Published Sep 22, 2022 · Updated May 27, 2025
Reflected XSS in Simple College Website 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute scripts in a visitor's browser through a crafted page URL. The /college_website/index.php route reflects the page query parameter into its HTML response without neutralizing script-capable markup. Exploitation requires a visitor to open the crafted URL, giving the script the site's browser origin and access to page-visible data and actions.
