Unauthenticated code execution via arbitrary PHP file write
Published Sep 22, 2022 · Updated May 27, 2025
Arbitrary file write in Simple College Website 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary PHP code through an unauthenticated request. The save_page handler in admin_class.php passes attacker-controlled filename and page_content POST parameters to file_put_contents without validating the name, extension, content, or session. No account is required, and a written PHP web shell executes with the web server's permissions when requested.
