Authenticated root command execution via unsanitized entity
Published Aug 1, 2023 · Updated Oct 21, 2024
Command injection in RaspAP 2.8.0 through 2.9.4 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary OS commands as root. In get_wgkey.php, the entity POST value is concatenated into WireGuard key-file paths that are passed unescaped to three exec calls. Any user with access to the authenticated endpoint can inject shell metacharacters, gaining root-level command execution with full host impact.
