Unpublished page disclosure via unchecked preview authorization
Published Sep 21, 2022 · Updated Jul 9, 2026
Missing authorization in Liferay Portal 7.3.3 through 7.4.3.34 and DXP 7.3 and 7.4 allows remote authenticated users to view unpublished pages. The Layout module renders a Content Page preview without checking whether the requesting user has permission to view the unpublished page. A low-privilege account can reach the preview over the network without user interaction, exposing page content but not permitting modification.
