CVE-2022-39974Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Process crash via invalid select-operation read

Published Sep 20, 2022 · Updated May 28, 2025

Improper input validation in WASM3 0.5.0 allows attackers to crash an embedding process by executing a crafted WebAssembly module. The op_Select_i32_srs handler in source/m3_exec.h performs an invalid memory read while executing the module's i32 select operation. Execution of the supplied module is required; the documented consequence is a read-access segmentation fault and process abort, not data disclosure or code execution.
