Improper resource lifetime control in Fortinet FortiEDR CollectorWindows allows local users to terminate EDR processes and disable protection. The flaw fails to preserve Collector process lifetime against privileged termination, but Fortinet does not identify the responsible service or function. The attack requires privileged local access on Windows; exploitation stops protection in 4.0.0 through 4.1, 5.0.0 through 5.0.3.751, and 5.1.0.
