Stored XSS via crafted system-logo filename
Published Nov 14, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Stored XSS in SourceCodester Sanitization Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script via a crafted logo filename. The Banner Image Handler on admin/?page=system_info accepts an uploaded system-logo file with an attacker-controlled name and renders that name without safe output encoding. Administrative access is required to plant the payload, and execution requires another user to view the affected page, allowing attacker-controlled changes within that page's origin.
