CVE-2022-39900

Secure Folder toast disclosure via cross-UserID access

Published Dec 8, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025

Improper access control in Nice Catch before SMR Dec-2022 Release 1 allows physically proximate attackers to read Secure Folder toast contents. Nice Catch fails to restrict its toast-history access by Android UserID, exposing notifications generated by applications inside Secure Folder. Physical possession of an affected, accessible device is required; the demonstrated consequence is cross-profile disclosure of toast text.
