Cross-site scripting in Video.js HTML5 Player before 1.1.9 lets remote authenticated users with contributor access execute scripts through crafted shortcodes. The videojs_html5_video_embed_handler function emits shortcode attributes such as url, ogv, poster, and webm without sufficient sanitization or output escaping, allowing stored script payloads to persist in rendered pages. Exploitation requires contributor-level WordPress access and a victim to open an affected page; the documented impact is script execution in that victim's browser with resulting confidentiality and integrity effects.
