Serial number disclosure via AT_Distributor Logcat entry
Published Oct 7, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Sensitive information exposure in AT_Distributor on Samsung Mobile Devices before SMR Oct-2022 Release 1 allows local users to read SerialNo. AT_Distributor writes the device serial number to Logcat, where a local process can retrieve the entry instead of receiving only policy-compatible data. Access requires local execution on an affected Android 10, 11, or 12 device, and the exposed data is limited to the device serial number.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
