Stored script execution via unescaped shortcode attributes
Published Dec 19, 2022 · Updated Apr 17, 2025
Stored XSS in Noor Alam Flowplayer Video Player before 1.0.5 allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through a shortcode. The flowplayer6_video_shortcode function returns an attacker-controlled src attribute without validating it or escaping it for HTML output. Contributor access is sufficient to save the shortcode, and the injected script runs when another user views or previews the page or post.
