NULL pointer dereference in COVESA dlt-daemon 2.18.8 and earlier allows local users to crash dlt-convert via a crafted DLT file. In dlt_message_header_flags, the parser trusts a DltStandardHeader flag claiming that an extended header exists and dereferences the absent header without checking it. A local user must cause a utility in the suite to process the file; the demonstrated consequence is a process crash, not code execution.
