Authenticated root command execution via WebUI parameter
Published Dec 25, 2023 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
OS command injection in Nokia NFM-T R19.9 allows remote authenticated users to execute operating-system commands with root privileges. The VM Manager WebUI script /cgi-bin/R19.9/log.pl treats the cmd HTTP GET parameter as an operating-system command instead of neutralizing command syntax. Access to an authenticated WebUI account is required, after which injected commands run as root and can fully control the host.
