Application crash via malformed SolidWorks assembly

Denial of service in SAP 3D Visual Enterprise Author 9 allows attackers to crash the application via a crafted .sldasm file. CoreCadTranslator.exe mishandles memory while parsing untrusted SolidWorks assembly data, terminating the process. A user must open the file; the resulting outage lasts until the desktop application is restarted, with no reported confidentiality or integrity impact.
