CVE-2022-39801Network attack vector

Administrative access via stale Firefighter session reuse

Published Sep 13, 2022 · Updated Jun 10, 2025

Improper authentication in SAP Access Control Emergency Access Management allows remote authenticated users to resume closed Firefighter sessions. The Firefighter Logon Pad leaves a closed Firefighter session accessible instead of invalidating its authenticated administrative session state. The attacker must have authenticated access from within the firewall; successful reuse grants the Firefighter session's administrative privileges and permits complete application compromise.
