Local file modification via unvalidated alias input
Published Nov 13, 2022 · Updated Apr 15, 2025
Argument injection in Vesta Control Panel allows local users to alter sed processing through crafted web-domain alias input. func/main.sh failed to route each alias through input validation, so quote or newline characters could reach sed-backed shell operations. Low-privileged local access is required, and the resulting injected arguments can alter files or interrupt panel-managed services.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
