CVE-2022-39364Network attack vector

Credential disclosure via exception argument logging

Published Oct 27, 2022 · Updated Apr 22, 2025

Information disclosure in Nextcloud Server before 23.0.9 allows remote authenticated users to obtain SharePoint credentials via nextcloud.log. SharePoint app exception handling passes connection arguments to the logger, which writes clear-text credentials into nextcloud.log. Access to that log is required, and the exposed credentials can enable connections to the configured SharePoint service without altering Nextcloud data or availability.
