Stored XSS via unsanitized team color setting
Published Jan 2, 2023 · Updated Apr 10, 2025
Stored XSS in WP Darko Team Members before 5.2.1 allows remote authenticated users to run scripts through a crafted team color setting. The Main color setting accepts an event-handler payload without sufficient sanitization or output escaping and stores it in a team record. Editor-level access is required, and another user must hover over the affected color input; the script then runs in that user's browser context and can read or alter data available to that session.
