Framework state modification via mutable Snowboard objects
Published Oct 26, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Prototype pollution in Winter CMS 1.1.8, 1.1.9, and 1.2.0 allows attackers to modify Snowboard framework objects. The main Snowboard instance and PluginLoader expose writable objects and prototypes to theme or plugin scripts, allowing framework properties and behavior to be overwritten. Reachability requires a site to use Snowboard in a theme or plugin; the administration panel does not use it, and no standalone exploit path is published.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=>= 1.1.8, < 1.1.10
