Administrator-session script execution via unescaped block identifiers
Published Dec 12, 2022 · Updated Apr 22, 2025
Reflected XSS in FlatPM before 3.0.13 allows remote attackers to execute scripts in an administrator's browser through a crafted link. The blocks_form administration page writes the block_id parameter into HTML without sanitization or output escaping; builds before 2.662 also mishandle block_cat_ID. An administrator must be logged in and open the crafted URL, allowing script execution in that administrator's browser session.
