CVE-2022-39296Network attack vector

Unauthenticated file disclosure via unchecked asset paths

Published Oct 11, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025

Path traversal in Melis Asset Manager 5.0.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to read arbitrary server files without authentication. The Module::displayFile method sends existing paths built from requested asset URIs without confirming that their real paths remain under the document root or module public directory. Any network client that can reach an asset route can trigger the read; disclosed content is limited to files accessible to the PHP process.
