Privilege escalation in makedeb Mist before 0.9.5 allows local users to execute arbitrary commands with root permissions through PATH. Mist's check_perms and run_as_normal_user helpers passed the bare sudo name to process creation, allowing PATH to select an attacker-controlled executable instead of /usr/bin/sudo. Exploitation requires control of the PATH used by a privileged Mist invocation and yields arbitrary root command execution.
