CVE-2022-39211Network attack vector

Server-side request forgery via lax local domain checks

Published Sep 16, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025

Server-Side Request Forgery in Nextcloud Server before 23.0.8 and 24.0.4 allows remote authenticated users to reach local webservices via crafted requests. Local domain and IP filtering accepts attacker-controlled destinations too broadly, so the server issues requests to services that should be blocked. Exploitation requires low-privilege authentication and user interaction; the documented consequence is limited confidentiality loss from responses returned by reachable local services.
