CVE-2022-39210

Local file disclosure via accepted private-storage URIs

Published Sep 16, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025

Path traversal in Nextcloud Android before 3.21.0 allows local users to disclose private app files through a crafted upload URI. The external-file upload path in UriUploader accepts URIs supplied by other apps even when their paths target the client's private storage. A malicious app on the same Android device must induce user interaction; successful exploitation uploads readable private content to the configured Nextcloud account.
