Unauthenticated imported service disclosure
Published Nov 15, 2022 · Updated Apr 29, 2025
Missing authorization in HashiCorp Consul 1.13.0 through 1.13.3 allows remote attackers to read imported nodes and services via HTTP or RPC UI endpoints. The /v1/internal/ui/nodes and /v1/internal/ui/services handlers fail to apply ACL filtering to data imported through cluster peering, exposing information without an ACL token. Exposure requires cluster peering and a reachable Consul UI endpoint; the documented impact is information disclosure without modification or service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
