Denial of service in the IBM AIX kernel 7.1, 7.2, 7.3, and VIOS 3.1 allows local users to interrupt the operating system. IBM has not published the vulnerable kernel function, the triggering input, or the incorrect operation performed on that input. Non-privileged local access is sufficient, and the disclosed consequence is limited to service interruption with no reported data disclosure or modification.
