Local file disclosure via unrestricted external entities

XML external entity injection in Apache Calcite 1.22.0 through 1.31.0 allows remote attackers to read local files through XML SQL functions. XmlFunctions passes attacker-controlled XML to JAXP XPath and transformation processors without disabling DTDs or external entity resolution. Reachability requires a client to expose the affected functions, usually through Oracle or MySQL dialect support; successful queries disclose files readable by the host process.
