Local privilege escalation via missing service permission check
Published Dec 6, 2022 · Updated Apr 23, 2025
Missing authorization in the UNISOC power management service on Android 10 through 12 allows local users to alter privileged settings. The service accepts power-management setup requests without checking whether the caller holds the required permission. Reaching the service requires local access and user interaction; exploitation changes protected power-management state without additional execution privileges.
