Heap-based buffer overflow in ZTE MF296R MF296R_Nordic1_B06 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt service via an SMS parameter. The SMS-processing path insufficiently validates the parameter length before writing its contents into a heap buffer. Exploitation requires authenticated, high-privilege access from an adjacent network and has no reported effect beyond availability.
