Authenticated database and file writes via phonebook injection
Published Nov 22, 2022 · Updated Apr 29, 2025
SQL injection in the phonebook interface in ZTE MF286R Nordic_MF286R_B06 allows remote authenticated users to alter router data. The PHONE_BLOCK_ADD handler in the goahead web server passes insufficiently validated phonebook parameters into SQL, enabling injected statements. Administrative credentials and network access to the router are required; successful exploitation can modify databases or write a chosen file.
