Hidden functionality in Buffalo network-device firmware allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary OS commands over an adjacent network. The affected firmware exposes an undocumented debug function to a logged-in administrator, and that function executes supplied input as OS commands. Administrative credentials and adjacent-network access are required; public advisories do not identify the request path or command-handling code.
