Published Sep 28, 2022 · Updated May 21, 2025
Improper privilege management in Smart eVision 2022.02.21 allows remote authenticated users to gain administrator privileges via its login API. The login API fails to check whether a general user's account is authorized for the requested privilege change before elevating that account. A valid general-user account is required; successful exploitation grants administrative control that permits arbitrary system commands or a service interruption.
