Service interruption via improperly validated packets
Published Dec 28, 2022 · Updated Apr 11, 2025
Improper input validation in Huawei WATCH KIDS 4 Pro firmware allows remote attackers to interrupt its application service via crafted packets. The watch accepts a specially crafted external network packet without adequately validating its contents before the application service processes it. No authentication or user interaction is required, and Huawei reports only abnormal application-service operation, without specifying whether the service hangs, crashes, or restarts.
