Malicious app persistence across system startup
Published Sep 16, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Improper malicious-app control in Huawei HarmonyOS 2.0 and 2.1 and EMUI 11.0.0, 11.0.1, and 12.0.0 allows malicious apps to persist. Huawei identifies the iAware module but has not disclosed which control decision or untrusted input is mishandled. NVD assesses network reachability without privileges or user interaction, and successful exploitation causes a malicious app to launch automatically when the device starts.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
