Authenticated SQL injection via unsanitized API payload
Published Feb 15, 2023 · Updated Mar 19, 2025
SQL injection in Ehoney 2.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to read database data through two administrative API endpoints. The handlers behind api/v1/protocol/set and api/v1/images/set pass payload.Payload into fmt.Sprintf-built LIKE queries without sanitization or parameter binding. Administrative access is required; a published proof of concept injects a UNION SELECT clause and returns the database name in the HTTP response.
