Application crash via short video header parsing

Buffer overflow in MPlayer and mencoder SVN-r38374-13.0.1 allows context-dependent attackers to crash the application via a crafted media file. The mp_unescape03() parser in libmpdemux/mpeg_hdr.c unconditionally copies the final two input bytes into a destination allocated to the input length, so inputs shorter than two bytes write beyond the heap allocation. The flaw is reached when a user opens or processes a malformed H.264 or VC-1 stream, and the published assessment limits the demonstrated consequence to an application crash.
