Cleartext cookie exposure via missing Secure flag
Published Sep 16, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Missing Secure Flag in EspoCRM 7.1.8 allows remote attackers to capture session cookies via HTTP traffic intercepted by a man-in-the-middle. The application sets authentication cookies without the Secure attribute, so browsers transmit them over unencrypted HTTP instead of restricting them to HTTPS. A man-in-the-middle position on the network is required; captured cookies can enable session impersonation and expose account data.
