Unauthenticated configuration disclosure via exposed dashboard interface
Published Oct 3, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Missing authentication in Dapr Dashboard 0.1.0 through 0.10.0 allows remote attackers to read sensitive application configuration. The dashboard exposes its web interface without an authentication gate, allowing requests to retrieve plaintext Redis, MongoDB, RabbitMQ, and other application settings. Network reachability to the dashboard is sufficient, and the disclosed connection settings can expose data held by connected cloud applications.
