Service hang via crafted RADIUS server packet
Published Nov 25, 2022 · Updated Apr 14, 2026
Denial of service in Siemens SIPROTEC 5 devices allows remote attackers to hang the device via a crafted RADIUS server packet. The VxWorks RADIUS client enters a loop with no reachable exit while processing the malicious packet during IP RADIUS access. The target must use an attacker-controlled or compromised RADIUS server; the consequence is an availability-only service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
