Application crash via unbounded regex matching

Denial of service in SnakeYAML before 1.31 allows remote authenticated users to crash applications by submitting crafted YAML. The parser passes attacker-controlled scalar content to regular-expression matching without limiting the matched data, exhausting Java's call stack. Reachability requires a consuming application to parse untrusted YAML, and exploitation interrupts that application rather than the underlying host.
