CVE-2022-38714Network attack vector

Credential disclosure via readable runtime-container storage

Published Feb 12, 2024 · Updated Mar 18, 2025

Credential exposure in IBM DataStage on Cloud Pak for Data 4.0.6 through 4.5.2 allows remote authenticated users to read database secrets. The DataStage runtime stores active database names, user IDs, and credentials inside running containers while processing database connections. Exploitation requires Cluster Admin privileges and remote access to an affected container, and the disclosed credentials can expose connected databases.
