Man-in-the-middle data tampering via disabled TLS validation
Published Nov 15, 2022 · Updated Apr 30, 2025
Improper certificate validation in NS-ND Integration Performance Publisher 4.8.0.146 and earlier allows man-in-the-middle attackers to alter data. HTTPS clients used by several plugin features accept server certificates and hostnames without authenticating the configured remote endpoint. Man-in-the-middle attackers must intercept traffic between the Jenkins controller and a configured NetStorm server, permitting tampering with data exchanged over the connection.
