RabbitMQ credential disclosure via plaintext configuration storage
Published Aug 23, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Plaintext credential storage in Jenkins CollabNet Plugin 2.0.8 and earlier allows local users to read a RabbitMQ password. The plugin serializes that password without encryption into hudson.plugins.collabnet.share.TeamForgeShare.xml as part of its global EventQ configuration. Exploitation requires Jenkins controller filesystem access, and the disclosed credential affects the configured RabbitMQ service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
