CVE-2022-3866Network attack vector

Cross-job metadata disclosure via incomplete List authorization

Published Nov 10, 2022 · Updated May 1, 2025

Information disclosure in HashiCorp Nomad and Nomad Enterprise 1.4.0 through 1.4.1 allows remote authenticated users to list cross-job metadata. The Variables List RPC filters standard ACL tokens per variable but omits workload-identity authorization, exposing paths and timestamps under nomad/. A workload identity token reaches only other jobs in the same namespace, and variable values remain undisclosed.
